AusCam Freedom Project

In 2013, AusCam Freedom Project began tackling the issue of large numbers of adolescent girls from poor city communities in Cambodia dropping out of school. They do this through scholarships and access to life skills workshops and mentoring so they can continue their schooling and have a chance at a better life.

In 2015, I made a short film with Sophea, one of the original recipients of a scholarship. This is her continuing story filmed three years later in 2018. It shows the impact AusCam is having on adolescent girls from families struggling with financial hardship in the Cambodian Capital, Phnom Penh.
